3 Routes to reach Everest Base Camp

1. Short Route Helicopter Return

On this luxurious trek, you will be riding on a Helicopter back to Lukla from Kala Patthar. Or you can directly charter Helicopter to Kathmandu. This is one of the main attractions of this tour. You will be passing through beautiful traditional Sherpa villages on this trek. One of them is Namche Bazaar which is the trading hub of the Everest region. This town is the largest Sherpa settlement of this region.

Your Standard route journey begins from Kathmandu as you fly to Lukla from there. Arriving at Lukla you trek to Phakding where you stay for the night. Then you head towards the beautiful town, Namche Bazaar.

You acclimatize to this town for the next day. You can visit various places during your stay. Such as the museum or headquarter of the national park, and many more.

After that, you head towards Tengboche, a popular village known for hosting the largest Buddhist monastery. Visiting the Gompa you head towards Dingboche where your second acclimatization is being held.

Then trek to Lobuche and head towards Gorakshep from there. You then hike to Everest Base Camp where you have your lunch and snap pictures for memories. After exploring for some time you head back to Gorakshep.

You then hike to Kala Patthar from there to view the stunning sunrise. Then retracing your steps you head back to Lukla. From here you catch your flight back to Kathmandu.

The standard route holds two acclimatization to help prevent altitude sickness. On this trek, you will be exploring the Everest region while viewing amazing scenarios.

3. From Gokyo Valley

Everest Region has various popular treks and visiting the base camp is one of the major treks of this region. You can combine the EBC trek with Gokyo Valley. You can trek to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Valley.

The Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake is quite a popular combination. If you have spare time and want to spend more days exploring the region. Then traveling through Gokyo valley is a great opportunity.

You get to see the famous Gokyo Lakes on this trek. Also the beautiful Khumbu glaciers along the path. Traveling through beautiful forest paths viewing the scenario is a moment not to be missed.
